Notes
There are many sweet recordings of this show. The C. Miller SBD is great and I've
heard another audience made w/ AKG's on an M-3 DAT that's incredible. Many tapers
were setting up in front of one stack or the other. I usually went for dead center
if I could get near or at the front of the tapers section when it's on a large lawn
like at Sandstone. I taped Alpine one day in front of the right stack because I got
stuck in a traffic jam getting in and couldn't get anything decent in the center.
This day was probably the hottest (heat index was like 116 and humid) that I remember
at a Dead show. I recall Jerry wearing shorts. I had two front row tickets that I
gave to friends so I could tape. They wouldn't let anyone in with gear if they didn't
have a lawn ticket. So although this audience might not be the best, it's not bad and
it's definitely in stereo.
